With holiday shoppers making the rounds at NorthPark Center on Thursday, November 30, the sound of music was heard coming out of Eiseman Jewels. Instead of strumming violins or guitars, it was a trio of Dallas Symphony Orchestra trombonists (Barry Hearn, Darren McHenry and Chris Oliver) nestled among the gems for a private party honoring the 2024 Dallas Symphony Orchestra League Presentation Ball deb and honor guard parents. Here’s a report from the field:

Eiseman Jewels was transformed into a symphony of glamour and melody as notes of holiday songs were played in the heart of NorthPark. Known as a haven for jeweled treasures, the store hosted a soirée on Thursday, November 30, where shimmering jewels met the harmonious sounds of the Dallas Symphony Orchestra. The private reception was attended by the parents of the debutantes and honor guard for the 2024 Dallas Symphony Orchestra League Presentation Ball.

Gracious host Richard Eiseman extended a warm welcome to members of the Dallas Symphony Orchestra League and recognized Presentation Ball Chair Kristin Cordiak and DSOL President Nancy Labadie for their roles in orchestrating the evening. His wife Betsy Eiseman was unable to attend as she was visiting their first grandchild in New Jersey.

A musical crescendo was added to the evening with three Dallas Symphony Orchestra trombonists. Musical maestros Chris Oliver, Barry Hearn and Darren McHenry delighted everyone with a special performance of holiday tunes to kick off the festive season.

Partygoers included Margaret and Barry Hancock, Linda Burk and John Gilmore, Venise Stuart, Monica Cooley, Kay Weeks, Kim Noltemy and Denton Bricker.

In a tradition spanning almost two decades, the holiday cocktail reception at Eiseman Jewels has become a cornerstone of the holiday season. Each parent was gifted a pair of pearl earrings for their daughters adding a touch of timeless elegance.

The evening was one of the many events of the season that will culminate with the 38th Annual Presentation Ball which will be held on Saturday, February 10, at the Morton H. Meyerson Symphony Hall.
